Custody
Children’s issues such as custody require careful attention. The arrangements made for their care and support will have a critical impact on their well-being. The Britt Law Group, P.C. regularly helps families negotiate, enforce and modify child custody arrangements. We can help ensure custody obligations are reasonable, and that our clients’ rights will be upheld.
Our goal is to work toward establishing a parenting plan with frequent and continuing contact with the children, and reduce conflict so that the divorce has minimal impact on the children.
Joint custody is when both parents have the legal authority to make decisions for the child, including schools, religion and medical treatment. Sole custody gives one parent sole authority for making such decisions. One parent is usually designated as the primary residential parent, with the other parent often paying child support. However, a variety of custody options are available depending on the family’s needs.
Whether you seek individual, joint or shared custody of your children, The Britt Law Group, P.C. can negotiate an arrangement that is best for you and your children. |
